Team Leader and Owner of The Kay-Grant Group with My Home Group Real Estate in Scottsdale, Andrea Lilienfeld, and Village Grove expert Julie Jarmiolowski are back in Village Grove to show you a gem of a new house coming on the market soon.

Let's take a tour of this Village Grove home. Andrea and Julie will update you over the next several weeks to show you the progress in real-time.

As you walk in the front entrance, you see studs and what used to be a wall separating the front living space from the kitchen, but nothing will be there. A reinforced beam will be put in, allowing them to remove all these support beams and give this house the open concept buyers are looking for. 

The kitchen will be expanded to include a huge island where you get a beautiful view out the front window while working in the kitchen, allowing you to entertain.

As we make our way to where the three main bedrooms of the home are located, you will notice that the remodel includes a closed-off area with a beautiful dry bar for entertaining. 

Starting with what will be the primary bedroom is a beautiful space, with many windows creating a lovely, open space. The primary suite will also have a sizable walk-in closet and en suite bathroom. 

Bedroom number two will be quite sizable and could easily fit a king-size bed and a nice-sized closet. 

Continuing down the hallway is bedroom number three. There is a built-in Murphy bed; however, that space will be removed and open up the room. This third bedroom offers huge open windows overlooking a gorgeous backyard with a big shaded tree. The shady tree will stay, and there will be turf installed. Just outside bedroom number three, there is another full bathroom. 

This house is unique and can easily turn it into a true multigenerational or next gen home, which we rarely see in South Scottsdale.

This house had a car garage and a utility closet, but the sellers envisioned turning the carport into a full-size connected garage. The sellers are turning the utility closet into a large, full-size laundry room that will be connected to the house. There will be a laundry room on one side, and then on this other side will have a full-size casita or a space that can be used as an income property. 

This extended part of the home can be used for your mother-in-law, making it a true next gen home. It will have a large, completely new bathroom and a huge walk-in closet. There will be a wall where a full-size kitchen will be installed, allowing this, again, to be a true casita or additional living space here on your property. 

The thing about this space is the way it's being remodeled. Around the side, there will be a large RV gate where your tenants can pull their cars in, park here on the side, and access their quarters without disturbing you in your personal space.

At The Kay-Grant Group with My Home Group out of Arizona, we are hearing more and more from clients curious about seeing different properties with a casita or a guest house. 

There are two main reasons people are looking for generational housing. They want a place where their parents can live on property with them, where they still have their own space. The second reason is people are looking at how they can turn their primary residence into an investment property. We can thank HGTV for this one. 

Today, we are out at one of these properties in Scottsdale. It offers a casita that's just over 400 square feet. The owners are using this as an income property. 

When you enter this property, you will see that they have put in a Murphy bed that can either be put up or laid down to be an actual bed. In this room, in a genuine studio-type manner, they do have a couch area for lounging, as well as they have a complete kitchen with full-size appliances, as well as a full-size bedroom, a walk-in, shower, dual vanity, and a washer and dryer. 

This is just one way owners are turning their primary residence into an income opportunity to help offset the cost of their mortgage and general bills.

You will see actual living room space when you walk into this property. With just 700 square feet, the owners could get two bedrooms, a full bathroom, a kitchen, and a private patio area. The bathroom and kitchen are both full-sized. This kitchen has full-size appliances and a cute little walkout where they can have their own space on the property. The bedrooms are large enough to fit a king-sized bed, leaving enough space for a nightstand, dresser, and room to walk around.
