Garfield Community Description

As one can imagine, a lot of Phoenix's history can be discovered within the Garfield Historic District. One of the unique attractions found in this neighborhood is the Alwun House, which is located near the intersection of Roosevelt and 12th Street. In May of 1993, this home was added to the Arizona State Historic Preservation Office’s Inventory of Historic Properties, and continues to host a variety of art shows and community activities.

A short bus ride, walk, bike ride, or rideshare down Roosevelt Street will take you to the heart of Downtown Phoenix, and all of the great restaurants and entertainment venues. You can join your friends for some incredible drinks and vintage arcade games at Cobra Arcade Bar, or grab some tasty pizza from POMO Pizzeria. If sports are your thing, the Arizona Diamondbacks' Chase Field and Phoenix Suns Arena are also a quick rideshare away from Garfield Historic District.
