Despite the town's relatively small size and population compared to other cities in the Phoenix metropolitan area, Paradise Valley is home to nine full-service resorts, making it one of Arizona's premier tourist destinations. It is known for its luxury real estate and being the wealthiest suburb in Phoenix. This quaint town of just over 13,000 residents is nestled conveniently between Scottsdale and Phoenix, while maintaining its small town feel, open spaces, unobstructed mountain views and dark, star-filled nighttime skies. Residents attend excellent schools in the Scottsdale Unified School District with most schools having a nine out of ten Great Schools rating. Its 22 schools earning the state’s highest rating of “Excelling”. All Scottsdale Unified District schools are rated as Performing, Performing Plus, Highly Performing or Excelling by the Arizona Department of Education. A relatively small portion of Paradise Valley is served by Creighton Elementary School District and Phoenix Union High School District.
