About Chandler AZ Golf Courses:

There are six different golf course facilities in Chandler, and two of them feature 36-hole golf courses. Each golf course offers its own unique layout, amenities, and real estate developments. In this section, we will provide in-depth detail about each golf course, what they provide for guests, and the type of homes you will find there.

Bear Creek Golf Complex

The first of two 36-hole golf facilities in Chandler, Bear Creek is located near the intersection of Riggs Road and Arizona Avenue. Bear Creek’s two golf courses are aptly named “Bear” and “Cub”: the Bear Course is a championship-length par 71, while the Cub course is a shorter executive length par-59 track. Combined with a fantastic practice facility, a full-service restaurant, and Sunday Family Golf Day, Bear Creek Golf Complex is the ultimate family-friendly golf facility.

Although there are no homes within either golf course, a variety of single family home subdivisions surround Bear Creek Golf Complex. Residents near Bear Creek enjoy easy access to Highway 87, the Loop 202, and Interstate 10.

Lone Tree Golf Club

Featuring scenic views of the San Tan Mountains, Lone Tree is just a few miles east of Bear Creek. The semi-private golf club of Lone Tree offers a unique par-71 golf course, which was designed by Darryl Wilson. Other amenities at Lone Tree Golf Club include a two-sided driving range, practice greens, and patio seating at The Grille at Lone Tree. There are memberships for Individuals, Families, and Junior golfers, making this an awesome place to enjoy golf without breaking the bank.

Single family homes can be found all around Lone Tree Golf Club, and there is a Solera active adult community less than a mile from the clubhouse entrance. If you love convenient access to great local restaurants and even better schools, a home near Lone Tree is a great golf community to call home.

Ocotillo Golf Club

One of the most unique golf clubs in the Valley, Ocotillo Golf Club features more lakes than any golf course in the Valley. This 27-hole golf facility has a variety of different lakes scattered throughout the property, and water comes into play on almost every hole at Ocotillo. Managed by Phil Mickelson Golf Properties, Ocotillo Golf Club also offers a beautiful clubhouse, driving range, and a chipping and putting area.

The lakes at Ocotillo provide a rare opportunity in the desert: a chance for residents to live on a golf course and lakeside! Interstate 10 and the Loop 202 are easily accessible from this community, and there are plenty of shopping plazas and dining options less than two miles from the clubhouse entrance.

San Marcos Golf Course

Located near the intersection of Chandler Blvd. and AZ Highway 87, San Marcos as well-known as the first green grass golf course in the state of Arizona. A traditional desert-style par-72 layout with tree-lined fairways and well-manicured greens, their recent renovation brought the golf course into the 21st Century. Other renovations include their new updated clubhouse, plenty of outdoor seating, and a bar and grill ideal for a post-round cocktail.

Subdivisions can be found in tiny pockets in which several holes wrap around these homes. Additionally, single family homes are located all around this historic golf club. Nearby amenities include a Crowne Plaza Resort, Dr. AJ Chandler Park, and several amazing shops and restaurants.

Springfield Golf Resort

A beautiful executive golf facility, Golf Advisor has ranked Springfield Golf Resort as the highest-rated short course in Arizona. Featuring 18-holes of par-3s and 4-s and two lakes, this qualifies as a fun-but-fair golf course. Add in the delectable menu options at Eagle Nest Bar and Grill, a driving range, a junior golf program, and  annual memberships, this family-friendly golf course is the ideal short golf course for the whole family.

The front and back nine are divided by Saint Andrews Blvd, which allows more homes to surround several holes on the property. AZ Highway 87 is just down the street, and provides convenient access to the Loop 202, Gilbert and Mesa.

Sunbird Golf Club

Sunbird Golf Club  is the last of the executive courses in Chandler, and is next to Springfield Golf Resort. The 18-hole par-66 golf course features one par-5 and a nice mix of par-3s and par-4s, and with 4 sets of tees, it is extremely playable for golfers of all skill levels. Amenities at Sunbird include a short-range driving range, a short game area, and the Horizon Room Restaurant. The golf course is open to the public, with the option of purchasing punch cards and membership certificates, which allows for reduced tee time rates.

This is an active adult community, and the homes for sale are perfect for Chandler residents who are 55 and older. Amenities for SunBird Golf Resort include a full slate of activities and weekly events, swimming pools, recreation center, and so much more.

Whirlwind Golf Club

Located within the Gila River Indian Community, the 36-holes of Whirlwind Golf Club at Wild Horse Pass is the crowned jewel of golf in Chandler, Arizona. Renowned golf course architect designed the Devil’s Claw and Cattail golf courses; both golf courses are over 7,000 yards and provide a unique challenge for even the best golfers. Devil’s Claw has hosted numerous professional golf tournaments, including U.S. Open local qualifiers. Other amenities at Whirlwind Golf Club include world-class practice facilities, a Player’s Lounge, and a beautiful clubhouse.

There are no homes near or on Whirlwind Golf Club; however, you will find plenty of beautiful homes within a 10-minute drive of the facility thanks to its close proximity to Interstate 10 and the Loop 202.
